After graduating from college, Paul launched a 30+ year career in the highly competitive and complex world of physician professional liability insurance. Paul has developed a rare understanding of the medical malpractice insurance industry as he worked on the corporate and the brokerage side, developing intense knowledge of the industry from all angles. As a senior executive, Paul has handled medical malpractice insurance sales, claims handling, analysis and investigation.

Patricia Diskin leads the client services team, upholding the firm’s dedication to providing outstanding client service. She has nearly two decades of experience managing a wide range of commercial insurance accounts.

Patti has worked for nationally and internationally known insurance, risk management and consulting firms. She understands the needs of both small and large enterprises and has served clients from a diverse range of industries including non-profits, healthcare and physician groups, and transportation companies. Throughout her career, she has provided daily support to clients, developed and maintained relationships with underwriters and insureds, and ensured client satisfaction. She is a graduate of Point Park University where she earned her B.A. in business. She is also a Certified Insurance Service Representative and has her Property and Casualty Insurance license.

Judi provides medical professional liability risk & safety expertise as a consultant to MPL Brokers.  She has more than 30 years of experience in healthcare quality, patient safety, and risk management.  Judi educates and assists with risk assessments and recommendations, safety programs, quality plans, and related performance improvement measures.  She has extensive experience working as a consultant to healthcare clients providing risk reduction and prevention advice, strategies, and education and assisting with risk evaluation and risk mitigation.

Dr. Mershon is the Programs Medical Consultant for MPL Brokers .  As the past-President of CPP’s Board of Directors, Dr. Mershon brings many years of expertise and experience with CPP’s medical professional liability program.  Dr. Mershon consults with insureds and prospects on the risk, reimbursement and physician health platforms embedded in CPP’s suite of services.  Dr. Mershon is a board-certified family medicine physician practicing with Penn State Medical Group – Cornerstone.  

Barbara serves as Accountant for MPL Brokers, and will oversee financial relationships with clients.  Barbara has held various accounting and business management roles in the public-school system where she was responsible for local, state, and federal reporting; maintaining the school’s books and other financial records; preparing the budget; and managing the accounts receivable, accounts payable, property tax, and child accounting functions.

Darlene serves as Legal Consultant for MPL Brokers.  She chairs the Risk Mitigation & Safety practice group at the law firm of Saxton & Stump.  Saxton & Stump has been privileged to work with and defend CPP’s physicians since the program began nearly 18 years ago.  With more than 20 years of healthcare litigation experience, Darlene guides healthcare clients with issues involving risk mitigation, claims reduction strategies, crisis management, and quality assurance. She oversees loss control and risk management platforms for professional liability insurance programs, including CPP.

Vidal serves as Information Technology Manager for MPL Brokers.  He focuses on enhanced technology solutions for MPL and its clients.  Vidal’s expertise comes from serving as both an in-house technician and as a system administrator for an IT solutions company responsible for delivering IT services to clients. He has also worked as a network administrator for a security solutions company.
